Competition in the master and amateur brackets of American Windsurfing Tour's JP Aloha Classic continued Wednesday at Hookipa Beach Park in Kuau.
In the master division, second-seeded Marty Rosse took the runner-up spot in his second-round heat to reach the final 16. Top-seeded Ferdinando Loffreda had already advanced to the third round with a win on Tuesday.
Kevin O'Connell, the No. 4 seed, was eliminated after placing fifth in his second-round heat.
Brian Caserio, ranked second in the AWT master rankings, is not competing.
One second-round heat was not completed - the top two finishers will earn third-round berths.
The amateur field was reduced to 32, a group that includes top-ranked Marc Bitoun.
The women's finalists - Junko Nagoshi, Tatiana Howard, Ingrid Larouche and Tiffany Ward - were decided Tuesday.
