David Chojin Sakugawa, 81, of Kula, passed away on November 25, 2013 at his home with Hospice Care. He was born April 19, 1932 in Wailuku.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Ballard Family Mortuary, services at 7 p.m.; family requests Aloha attire. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at St. John's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Kula.
David was a self-employed Pig Farmer and had a passion for running.
He is survived by his sons, Jon and Daryl Sakugawa; daughters, Lynne Sakugawa, Lorelei Sakugawa, Diane Siangco, Lisa Sakugawa, and Norine (Mike) Minor; step-daughters, Amanda Maile Getzen, Robin M. White, and Sydney D. White; brothers, James and George Sakugawa; sisters, Sue Sakaguchi, and Laureen Chang; 10 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
