The Street Bikers United Hawaii, Maui County Chapter is hosting two events this month filled with food, entertainment and presents for children.
Attendees of the events are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys or money, and all donations will be given to Maui County residents.
The 12th annual Maui Toy Run Motorcycle Parade & Car Show opens at 8 a.m. Dec. 14 at Maalaea Harbor. The free event will showcase classic cars and motorcycles at the harbor until 11 a.m., when the vehicles will parade to Lahaina Cannery Mall via Honoapiilani Highway and Front Street. The toy run will return to Kihei at 2 p.m., traveling on Piilani Highway, Alanui Ke Alii Drive and South Kihei Road en route to Post 3850 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 2110 Uluniu Road. There will be live music, prizes and $5 plate lunches (ages 10 and under eat for free) at the post.
On Dec. 15, the chapter will hold a "Kula Hospital Trike Run" in which participants will do a group ride to Kula Hospital to hand out gifts, showcase motorcycles and cars, and sing carols for patients.
The group will gather at 9 a.m. at Cycle City Maui, 150 Dairy Road in Kahului, and will depart for Kula at 10:30 a.m.
