Bonifacio Asuncion Garcia, 79, of Lahaina, passed away on November 30, 2013 in Henderson, Nevada. He was born on August 17, 1934 in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Maria Lanakila Church in Lahaina, with visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Mass at 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, December 20 at the church from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by 11:00 a.m. burial at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku. Borthwick Norman's Mortuary is assisting with the arrangements.
He was a truck driver for Pioneer Mill Sugar Plantation.
He was predeceased by his wife, Salome Sumibcay Mangoba Garcia.
He is survived by his sons, Rollin Garcia and Edison (Arlyn) Garcia; daughters, Marilyn (Butch) Alvarez, Marjorie Mercado, Mary Ann (Donald) Fabozzi and Marinette Garcia; brother, Ernesto (Rosita) Garcia; sisters, Socorro "Coring" (Domingo) Serna and Lydia (Nelson) Saribay; sister-in-law, Mely (Romeo deceased) Garcia; 9 grandchildren, Hazel and Jordan Mercado, Audrey and B.J. Alvarez, Nicholas Garcia, Tysha Pamat, Rocco Fabozzi, Kameron Garcia, and Teiya Garcia; 3 great-grandchildren, Elijah and Mekhi Gamboa, and Ryder Alvarez.
