Charlotte Naomi Nakoa, 69, of Wailuku, Maui, passed away on December 19, 2013. She was born on January 25, 1944, in Puunene, Maui. She was raised in Camp 1 (Spreckelsville) and graduated from the old Maui High School.
She retired as a Supervisor at the Lower Main Minit Stop after 25 years.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will begin at 12:00 p.m.; burial will follow, 2:00 p.m., at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery in Wailuku.

Charlotte is predeceased by her husband, Herman Nakoa Sr. She is survived by her sons, Herman (Misty) Nakoa Jr., Chris (Shelley) Quipotla; daughters, Sherri (Mike) Arista, Kimi (Jason) Rezentes, Dayna (Len) Inokuma; mother, Nancy Miyamoto; brothers, Wayne (Gayle) Miyamoto, Larry (Marilyn) Miyamoto; sisters-in-law, Winifred (Gordon) Cockett Sr., Sandra (Tony) Cristofaro; and 11 grandchildren, Ramsey Arista, Sai Nakoa, Sanae Nakoa, Gavin Arista, Jasti Rezentes, Tiani Quipotla, Tiare Arista, Kiare Rezentes, Sam Quipotla, Devin Inokuma, and Chase Inokuma. She also had numerous hanai children by whom she was known and loved by as "Ma".
