Louis Ohashi, 81, of Lanai City, passed away on December 23, 2013, at Lanai Community Hospital. He was born on May 10, 1932 on the big island of Hawaii. He formerly worked as a Picking Machine Operator for a Pineapple Plantation and was also a Stevedore.
His wife, Ramona Ohashi, 74, also of Lanai City, passed away on December 11, 2013 at Lanai Community Hospital. She was born on January 19, 1939 on the Big Island of Hawaii. She was a Pineapple Plantation worker.
Visitation will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Sacred Hearts Church in Lanai City, with a Memorial Mass starting at 10 a.m.
Louis & Ramona are survived by their daughters, Susan Ann Ohashi, and Valerie Ohashi; sons, Jason (Naomi) Ohashi, Patrick (Shareen) Dumlao, and Johnny Dumlao (Joy); grandchildren, Max Ohashi, Quinnton, Kamiko, Prino, and Lehualani Vasquez, Ualani, Mahealani, Alejandro "Tonjo", and Jana Ohashi, Brandon and Rachel Dumlao, and Jonas Ranis; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Ramona is also survived by her sisters, Visitacion Oliveros, Leora Libero, Rosita Doran, Mary Spencer, and Gloria Dual-Menendez. Mr. and Mrs. Ohashi were pre-deceased by their oldest son, Alejandro Balez "Tonjo" Dumlao.
