One of the outstanding annual events in Maui County is the presentation of the Mayor's Small Business Awards.
A partnership between the county's Office of Economic Development and the Maui Chamber of Commerce, the awards honor entrepreneurs who run successful small businesses here. This year's winners will be presented at a dinner at the King Kamehameha Golf Club at 6 p.m. on Feb. 26.
Tickets for the awards dinner may be obtained by calling the chamber office at 244-0081 or by sending an email to email@example.com.
The public is invited to nominate choices for awards in the following categories:
Exceptional Small Business of the Year (10 or fewer employees); Exceptional Small Business of the Year (11 to 35 employees); Exceptional Small Business of the Year (36 to 100 employees); Outstanding Non-Profit; Young Small Business Person of the Year; Lifetime Achievement Award; and the 2014 Annette Pauole-Ahakuelo Moloka'i Small Business Achievement Award.
Criteria for the nominations and the nomination forms themselves can be found at the Maui County Business Resource Center webpage at: www.mauicounty.gov/mcbrc.
The deadline for nominations is noon Tuesday, Feb. 11.
This is your chance to show your support for the small businesses in the County of Maui that provide services and products to our citizens and jobs for our friends and neighbors.
