Surfer drawn in by waves at Jaws

January 21, 2014
The Maui News
A surfer rides a wave Sunday at the Jaws surf site in Peahi. National Weather Service forecasters extended a high-surf advisory until 6 a.m. today. North-facing shores of the islands were expected to see waves of 10 to 15 feet Monday, while west-facing shores were forecast to have 8- to 12-foot surf. The advisories warn people to stay out of the water because of dangerous surf and rip-current conditions.
