Isaac Fotu scored a career-high 30 points as the University of Hawaii men's basketball team beat UC Irvine 90-86 in overtime on Saturday in Irvine, Calif.
Fotu was 13-for-16 from the field and made all four of his free throws in posting the second-highest point total for a UH player this season, helping deal the Anteaters their first conference loss.
Garrett Nevels scored 19 points for the Rainbow Warriors (14-5, 3-2 Big West), who won their third game in a row, and Keith Shamburger had 17 points and 11 assists. Christian Standhardinger scored 14 points and Brandon Spearman added 10.
Hawaii trailed 43-38 at halftime, but tied the score at 78 at the end of regulation.
UC Irvine (13-8, 4-1) got 14 points from Alex Young.
Hawaii will play at home against Long Beach State on Thursday.
