Long Beach State deals UH men first loss in four games

The University of Hawaii men's basketball team lost for the first time in four games on Thursday, falling 92-83 to Long Beach State at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

Garrett Nevels and Christian Standhardinger each scored 18 points for the Rainbow Warriors (14-6, 3-3 Big West).

Mike Caffey scored 29 points for the 49ers (8-12, 4-2).

Hawaii will host Cal State Northridge on Saturday.
