Isaac Fotu scored 26 points and Christian Standhardinger added 18 points and 12 rebounds as the University of Hawaii men's basketball team beat Cal Poly 69-60 on Saturday at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
The Rainbow Warriors went on an 8-0 run for a 62-53 lead with 3 minutes, 50 seconds remaining.
Fotu finished 10-of-13 from the field, while Standhardinger went 9-of-9 from the free-throw line.
Hawaii made 23 of its 47 field-goal attempts, while Cal Poly finished 22-of-57, including 10-of-28 from 3-point range. The Rainbow Warriors (16-7, 5-4 Big West) also finished 21-of-27 from the free-throw line, while the Mustangs went 6-of-8.
Hawaii held a 38-22 rebounding advantage and out-scored Cal Poly 40-20 on points in the paint.
Kyle Odister and Dave Nwaba each scored 12 points for the Mustangs (8-14, 4-5), while Chris Eversley had seven rebounds.
Hawaii's next game will be Thursday at UC Riverside.
