Aaron Barnett singled in a run in the top of the 11th inning to lead Pepperdine to a 2-1 win over Hawaii on Thursday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

It was the first run given up by Gordon Cardenas (0-2) in four innings of relief for the Rainbow Warriors, who fell to 5-5 on the season and had their five-game winning streak end.

Trevor Podratz smacked an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game for Hawaii, which left two runners on base in the bottom of the 11th and 10 for the game.

Eric Karch (2-0) picked up the win for the Waves (7-2) with 2-1/3 innings of one-hit relief.
