Entries for the 12th annual Art of Trash may be submitted for consideration from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 19 at the Maui Mall.
Selected artwork will be announced that evening on sharingalohamaui.org. Entry to this juried show is open to Maui County residents.
Presented by Malama Maui Nui (Community Work Day) and SharingAloha, the Art of Trash is a three-week art exhibit showcasing everyday objects that have been given new life by the hands of Maui County artists
The Art of Trash juror is visual and performing artist Ira Ono.
All entries must be original work made from recycled and/or reused material (no natural materials allowed). Selected art pieces will give new life to items that are no longer functional for their original purpose. Driftwood pieces, water feature pieces and works that include food will not be accepted. The entry fee is $10 per piece, with no limit on the number of pieces each artist may enter.
Entry forms for the art exhibit are available online at sharingalohamaui.org.
