ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - The University of Hawaii men's basketball team was eliminated from the Big West tournament Thursday with an 87-84 overtime loss to Cal State Northridge in the quarterfinals.
Christian Standhardinger scored 28 points for the fourth-seeded Rainbow Warriors (20-11), Keith Shamburger added 20 and Brandon Spearman had 17.
Shamburger's jump shot and free throw put UH ahead 84-81 in overtime, but two turnovers allowed Northridge to move back in front as Stephen Maxwell hit a jumper and Tre Hale-Edmerson made two free throws. Spearman couldn't connect on a 3-pointer in the final seconds.

Josh Greene scored 27 points and Stephan Hicks added 21 for the fifth-seeded Matadors (16-17), who will face third-seeded Long Beach State in the semifinals today.
The Rainbow Warriors led by as many as 13 in the second half.
