The University of Hawaii baseball team took a two-run lead into the eighth inning before losing 7-4 to Nevada on Friday at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu.
The Rainbow Warriors (7-10) were in front 4-2 before allowing five runs in the eighth - the last three on a two-out triple by Austin Blyler - and lost a third consecutive game.
The Wolf Pack improved to 8-9.
Trevor Podratz hit a solo homer for UH.
Andrew Jones (0-1) permitted three runs in 1 1/3 innings of relief and took the loss. Rainbow Warriors starter Matt Cooper went six innings, giving up two runs.
Evan McMahan (1-0) was the winning pitcher, and Adam Whitt pitched two scoreless innings to record his fourth save of the season.
