Rainbow Warriors snap four-game skid

The University of Hawaii baseball team snapped a four-game losing streak by defeating Nevada 6-3 on Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium in Honolulu.

Kaeo Aliviado hit a two-run double and finished with three RBIs for the Rainbow Warriors (8-11). Stephen Ventimilia was 3-for-5 with a run scored.

Kewby Meyer had three hits for the Wolf Pack (9-10), and Jordan Devencenzi drove in two runs.

Quintin Torres-Costa (1-0) earned the win in relief, after Jarrett Arakawa permitted two runs in seven innings. Juliene Jones struck out two batters in a perfect ninth for his first save.

Colby Blueberg (2-1) took the loss.

Nevada won 10-6 on Saturday. Adam Whitt (2-2) got two outs for the win. Hawaii reliever Jordan DePonte (1-2) was charged with two runs without recording an out.

The teams are to conclude their four-game series today.
