Rainbow Warriors drop fourth straight game

The University of Hawaii baseball team squandered a two-run lead and lost 3-2 to Cal Poly on Friday at Murakami Stadium in Honolulu.

The Rainbow Warriors (14-17, 2-5 Big West) scored in each of the first two innings.

The Mustangs (28-5, 6-1) tied the score with two runs in the fifth, helped by right fielder Adam Hurley's error, and Tim Wise singled in the decisive run in the sixth.

Cal Poly's Matt Imhof (7-2) allowed two runs in six innings, and Reed Reilly pitched three perfect innings for his sixth save.

Matt Cooper (3-3) went seven innings for UH, and permitted three runs.

The Rainbow Warriors lost their fourth straight game.

The teams are scheduled to meet again today.
