Hawaii’s season ends with loss to Pepperdine

The University of Hawaii men's volleyball team had its season end Saturday with a 19-25, 28-26, 25-18, 26-24 loss to Pepperdine in Malibu, Calif.

The Rainbow Warriors, ranked ninth by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, finished 15-12 overall, and 13-11 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. They missed the eight-team MPSF tournament for the second time in three years.

Sinisa Zarkovic had 18 kills for UH. Brook Sedore and Taylor Averill added 12 apiece.

Punahou School graduate Josh Taylor had 18 kills for the second-ranked Waves (18-6, 18-6).
