St. Joseph in Kaupo sets Mass June 29
Mass will be celebrated at noon June 29 at the St. Joseph Mission Church in Kaupo.
Fellowship and potluck will follow Mass.
The remote mission church has a Mass only when there is a fifth Sunday of the month, or four times a year.
The church is between Mileposts 33 and 34 on Piilani Highway.

Adams to speak at Unity Church
Unity Church of Maui will host Ayin Adams as a speaker during 10 a.m. Sunday services.
In an announcement, Adams is described as an "international metaphysician, spiritual director and intuitive therapist."
She's written seven books, including her recent "African-Americans in Hawaii: A search for identity."

Vacation Bible school offered
Pukalani Baptist Church will offer a free vacation Bible school for children from preschool through 8th grade from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday to June 27, according to an announcement.
Children will become investigating agents for "Agency D3," for which they will collect and log evidence about the life of Jesus.
There also will be games, music and dinner starting at 5 p.m. each night.
The church is at the corner of Old Haleakala Highway and Loha Street, across from Pukalani Superette. The Rev. Paul Kaneshiro is the church's pastor.

Prayer conference underway today
The Kahului Seventh-day Adventist Church will host a prayer conference beginning at 6:30 p.m. today.
The free conference will continue at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Saturday and at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Lunch will be served at noon Saturday and a breakfast on Sunday morning.
With guest speaker Pastor Pavel Goia, conference attendees will "be filled with wonder at God's love in action as he shares personal encounters with incredible answers to prayer."
Originally from Romania, Goia experienced hardships, difficulties and privations in a Communist country, "but his Christian experience was enriched on a daily bases by holding on to the powerful hand of God," the announcement says.
