The Josh Jerman Maui Nui Scholarship program recently awarded three Maui County high school graduates $1,000 each.
This year's recipients are Tyler Pascua of Lanai High School, Takayoshi Tsutsui of Seabury Hall and Nash Wuthrich of Baldwin High School.
In the fall, Pascua will attend, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where she plans to study nursing. Tsutsui will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass., with plans to major in mechanical engineering. Wuthrich will be attending Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., where he will pursue a degree in computer science.
Now in its 10th year, the Josh Jerman Maui Nui Scholarship program provides scholarships to college-bound students who will attend a full-time program at an accredited four-year college or university.
To date, the program has awarded more than $32,000 in scholarships to Maui, Molokai and Lanai high school seniors who have displayed a passion for returning to Maui County after college to contribute to the local community.
