UH institute to build ‘big aluminum container’

Telescope device to take light from the sun and split it up like a prism

The University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy has been awarded the contract to build a $5 million instrument to measure solar magnetism of the corona of the sun for the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope being built atop Haleakala.
