Brigit & Bernard's Garden Cafe in the Kahului Industrial Area will present its 19th annual Swiss Fest on Friday.
The all-you-can-eat buffet will start at 6 p.m., followed by the live alpine sounds of Dorfmusikanten, or "village musicians," at 6:30 p..m. Enter the Yodel and the Swiss Trivia contests. Swiss paper lanterns will add ambience.
"Chances of winning the yodel contest will be greatly improved by having a shot of Schnapps and a Ricolaaaaaaahhhh," jokes Bernard, a native of Davos, Switzerland. "It's a lot of fun." The buffet has creamy carrot soup, beef ragout, Swiss-style salad bar, bratwurst, sauerkraut, raclette and more. Cost is $38 with no cover. A la carte platters are available with $5 cover charge.
