What do you think of Maui County Council members giving pay bonuses to their executive assistants?
In favor. The employees should get the bonuses because they are not highly paid, not protected by civil service, don't enjoy union benefits or get overtime.
Opposed. Council members should not have given bonuses to appointed employees who understood the working hours, lack of overtime and absence of civil service protection when they accepted the positions.
