Seabury Hall edges Kamehameha Maui

Seabury Hall beat defending Maui Interscholastic League champion Kameha-meha Maui 218-220 at Elleair Maui Golf Club on Wednesday, the first day of the MIL boys golf season.

The Spartans’ Dawud Moragne had the low score of the match, a 46. Reyn Stisher had a 54, Aron Graziano a 57 and Max Hurd a 61.

Lucas Park’s 48 led the Warriors. Jacob Puu (52), Kainalu Steward (57) and Kalei Stanich (63) were the other Kamehameha golfers.

* LAHAINALUNA BOYS 159, KING KEKAULIKE 232: At Pukalani Country Club, returning Maui Interscholastic League All-Star Malu Rosenthal carded a 34 for Lahainaluna.

The Lunas’ Jake Horton and Lucas Bell each shot 40. Kerek Franz and Rhett Wiseman both had rounds of 45.

Zane Jarrett had a 40 for King Kekaulike, and Drake Onaga a 42. Na Alii’s other scores were not available.

* BALDWIN BOYS 172, MAUI HIGH 195: At Waiehu Municipal Golf Course, Tyler Munetake had a 40 for Baldwin, Ariel Hansen carded a 42, Jameson Keiley had a 44 and Justin Ohta a 45.

Brandon Molina (46) was the Bears’ alternate.

Maui High’s Zachary Taylor had the low score of the match, a 36. Chase Baker had a 47, and Ian Bingham and Marvyn Guillermo each shot 56. Ross Takemoto had a 64.

* BALDWIN GIRLS 120, MAUI HIGH 125 (TUESDAY): At Waiehu Municipal Golf Course, Marissa Uradomo had a 38 and Kimberlie Miyamoto a 39 as Baldwin extended its MIL winning streak to 42 straight matches on the first day of the league season.

Kirstin Ishikawa had a 43 for the Bears, Kaylee Shi-mizu and Lydia Higa each had rounds of 45 and Lexi Nagamine had a 52.

Jasmine Cabajar and Kristeena Locke had the low scores for Maui High, each posting rounds of 39. Taylor Akamine, Anna Apana and Dayna Yoshimura all shot 47, and Sierra Sacapanio-Alexander carded a 72.

Also on Tuesday, the King Kekaulike girls team forfeited to Seabury Hall.
