Hawaii women topple Cal State Northridge
Kamilah Martin scored 15 points and Shawna-Lei Kuehu had a double-double as the University of Hawaii women’s basketball team beat Cal State Northridge 69-60 on Saturday at the Stan Sheriff?Center in Honolulu.
Kuehu had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Sydney Haydel added 13 points and Ashleigh Karaitiana had 12 points for the Rainbow Wahine (15-12, 11-5 Big West Conference), who were 22-of-43 from the field and 24-of-28 from the free-throw line.
Kalei Adolpho, a Molokai High alumnus, had two rebounds and one assist in seven minutes for Hawaii.
The Rainbow Wahine remained third in the conference behind Pacific (13-4) and Cal Poly (12-4).
Ashlee Guay scored 17 points, Janae Sharpe added 15 and Violet Alama, a Kalani High alumnus, had 14 for the Matadors (13-15, 7-9).
