Lunas maintain perfect mark

Kaua Arcangel hit a two-run homer and Hope Morikawa and Kaylee Harmon combined on a three-hitter as the Lahainaluna High School softball team defeated King Kekaulike 14-1 in five innings Wednesday in a Maui Interscholastic League game in Lahaina.

The Lunas (5-0) scored in all four innings in which they batted, and won for the 28th time in their last 30 league games.

Na Alii fell to 1-4.

* Baldwin 11, Maui High 1, 5 innings: At Kahului, Sanae Nakoa struck out six batters in a four-hitter, and Baldwin improved to 4-1.

The Bears’ Kylie Dickson was 3-for-3, while Sky Ellazar Alysha Sakamura each had two hits.

Cymry Pico was 2-for-2 for the Sabers (0-5).
