Maui High girls golf wins first match of MIL season

Kristeena Locke shot a 36 and Jasmine Cabajar had a 37 as the Maui High girls golf team beat Seabury Hall 118-180 on Tuesday at The Dunes at Maui Lani for its first Maui Interscholastic League victory of the season.

Taylor Akamine carded a 45 for the Sabers (1-2). Anna Apana had a 47, which didn’t count toward the team total.

Jimmsie Stisher shot a 56, Natasha Salamack had a 59 and Jessica Brown carded a 65 for the Spartans (2-1). Joy Balinbin had a 68.

* LAHAINALUNA GIRLS DEF. KING KEKAULIKE BY FORFEIT: At Pukalani Country Club, Caitlyn Villatora shot a 43,Caylyn Villatora had a 45 and Ennah Cabading carded a 58 for the Lunas (3-0).

Jennifer Mentz and Sabrina Armijo both shot 63s for Lahainaluna.

Nicole Umeno shot a 41 and Emma Raymond had a 58 for Na Alii (0-3), who didn’t have enough players.

* BALDWIN GIRLS 123, KAMEHAMEHA MAUI 148: At Elleair Maui Golf Club, Kimberlie Miyamoto and Marissa Urodomo both shot 39 for the Bears (3-0).

Kirstin Ishikawa carded a 45 for Baldwin and Kaylee Shimizu shot a 47, which did not count toward the team total.

Nicole Nagamine had a 47, Kodi Joyo shot a 48 and Shaina Hipolito carded a 53 for the Warriors (0-3). Kalena Tamashiro had a 66.
