Maui High tennis teams improve to 2-0

The Maui High School boys and girls tennis teams each improved to 2-0 in Maui Interscholastic League play with victories over Molokai on Friday at Kahului Community Center.

The Sabers won 5-0 in the girls match and 4-1 in the boys competition.

The Farmers were playing their season opener.

In the girls match, Maui High’s Lee Ah Hee and Genica Mae Aban did not drop a game in their victory over Sabrina Curtis and Kea’a Davis at No. 2 doubles.

The Sabers’ top two boys singles players each won 6-0, 6-0 – Joey Baldwin defeated Keoki Kaulia at No. 1, and Devan Kepler beat Luke Santiago at No. 2.

Sabrina Curtis and Kea’a Davis 6-0, 6-0.
