MIL golf: Moragne helps lift Spartans past Warriors

Dawud Moragne shot a 40 as the Seabury Hall boys golf team beat Kamehameha Maui 202-209 in a Maui Interscholastic League match Friday at The Dunes at Maui Lani.

Reyn Stisher (47), Aron Graziano (48) and Max Hurd (67) also scored for the Spartans (2-0).

Jacob Puu (40) led the Warriors (0-2). Lucas Park had a 43, Kainalu Steward a 55 and Kalei Stanich a 71.

* BALDWIN BOYS 165, MAUI HIGH 214: At Kahili Golf Course, Ariel Elftman-Hanson fired a match-best 39 for Baldwin (2-0).

Also scoring for the Bears were Tyler Munetake (40), Jameson Keiley (42) and Nathaniel Idica (44). Matt Vanni had a 46.

Zach Taylor had a 45 for the Sabers (0-2). Ian Bingam (52), Marvyn Guillermo (57) and Chase Baker (60) also scored. Ross Takemoto carded a 72.

* LAHAINALUNA BOYS DEF. KING KEKAULIKE, FORFEIT: At the Royal Kaanapali Course, Malu Rosenthal shot a 41 for Lahainaluna (2-0).

The Lunas’ Lucas Bell had a 45, Rhett Wiseman and Jake Horton both shot 48 and Kerek Franz carded a 55.

King Kekaulike (0-2) had three players – Drake Onaga (47), A.J. Ramelb (66) and Micha Hanawahine (84)

* SEABURY HALL GIRLS DEF. KING KEKAULIKE, FORFEIT (THURSDAY): At Pukalani Country Club, Natasha Salamack shot a 54 as Seabury Hall improved to 2-0.

Simone Baldwin shot a 64 and Jimmsie Stisher had a 68 for the Spartans.

King Kekaulike’s Nicole Umeno had a 46 and Emma Raymond carded a 54.
