Seabury Hall girls triumph, Baldwin boys win in tennis

The Seabury Hall girls beat Baldwin 3-2 in Maui Interscholastic League tennis action on Tuesday at the Kula Community Center courts behind a three-set win by Sancia Nash and Taryn Shaw at No. 1 doubles.

Baldwin’s Tayler Duarte and Jessica Pressman won the top two singles matches, but the Spartans’ Lauren Hecker won at No. 3 singles and Seabury Hall won the No. 2 doubles by default.

Both teams are 1-1.

* BALDWIN BOYS 4, SEABURY HALL 1: At Kula Community Center courts, Baldwin won all four matches that were played to down the Spartans.

Bud Kaiwi beat Shun Harima 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.

The only match the Bears (1-1) did not sweep was No. 3 singles, where A.J. Fernandez won the last two sets.

Seabury Hall fell to 1-1.
