Baldwin improves to 6-0
The Baldwin High School baseball team bounced out to a 10-0 lead through 4 innings and held on for a 10-6 win over Kamehameha Maui on Wednesday at Maehara Stadium in Wailuku.
The win moves Baldwin (6-0) a full game ahead of second-place Maui High in the Maui Interscholastic League Division I standings. The Warriors fell to 3-7.
Baldwin’s Joshua Nobriga went six innings on the mound, struck out seven and walked two before giving way to Micah Richardson for the seventh inning.
Nobriga, Lane Kashiwamura and Isaiah Maddela all had two hits for the Bears. T.J. Kanamu was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI for Kamehameha.
