Baldwin outlasts Maui High

The Baldwin High School boys volleyball team got a balanced attack to defeat Maui High in five sets on Tuesday in a Maui Interscholastic League match at the Bears’ gym.

The scores were 25-23, 18-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10.

Ryan Garces and Brad Bowlin each had nine kills for the Bears (5-1), while Afoa Laga and Niko Corpin each added eight. Kyson Kaiama had 27 assists and Justin Villanueva had 13 digs for Baldwin, which moved 1 1/2 games ahead of Maui High atop the Division I standings.

Jaryn Kuhaulua-Feiteira had 25 kills for the Sabers (3-2).
