Kamehameha reaches semifinals

Kamehameha Schools Maui moved into the semifinal round of the Maui Interscholastic League Division I baseball tournament by defeating Lahainaluna 5-3 on Wednesday at Maehara Stadium in Wailuku.

The Warriors (4-9) will face Baldwin today.

Kamehameha Maui’s first four batters reached base in a four-run first inning.

Cal Alexander was 3-for-3 with a run for the Warriors. Travis Kanamu Jr. allowed one run in five innings, and also went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Rylie Velez was 2-for-2 and drove in a run, and Brennon Aloy was 2-for-4 with a double.

Kaimana Ancog had a double and run for the Lunas, who finish 2-11.
