Lahainaluna topples Kamehameha Maui in water polo semifinal

Bridget Joy scored five goals as the Lahainaluna water polo team beat Kamehameha Maui 11-7 in a Maui Interscholastic League semifinal match at the Warriors’ pool.

Courtney Galarita and Lalelei Mataafa each added two goals for the Lunas, who clinched a state tournament berth with the victory.

Kamehameha Maui’s Lia Ikeda and Leimana Hassett each scored two goals.

In today’s semifinal, Baldwin will play Maui High at 5 p.m. at Kamehameha Maui.

The winner will play Lahainaluna in the final on Wednesday.
