Spartans win big in softball

Pili Hao-Meyer pitched a three-inning no-hitter as the Seabury Hall softball team beat St. Anthony 16-1 in a Maui Interscholastic League game Thursday at Eddie Tam Field.

Kara Permulo batted 2-for-2 with four RBIs and Christy Kimura went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for the Spartans (4-4), who scored nine runs in the first inning.

Hao-Meyer struck out four. She allowed a run in the first on a walk, two steals and a passed ball.

The Trojans (2-3) issued six walks and committed five errors.

The teams split the season series, so they went to an international tie-breaker after the game. Seabury Hall won it 4-3 in two innings.
