Bears receive No. 4 seed in state water polo tournament

Baldwin High School was seeded fourth in the Stanford Carr Development State Water Polo Championship bracket announced Thursday.

The Bears received a bye into Wednesday’s quarterfinals at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex on Oahu, and will face the winner of Tuesday’s first-round match between Kapolei and Moanalua.

Lahainaluna will play Roosevelt on Tuesday, with the winner advancing to a match against second-seeded Kahuku.

Punahou, the five-time defending champion, received the No. 1 seed, and Kamehameha Hawaii was seeded third.
