Isagawa finishes in tie for 23rd

Oregon sophomore Cassy Isagawa, a Baldwin High School graduate, finished in a tie for 23rd place at the NCAA women’s golf championship after a 6-over-par 78 in Friday’s final round at the University of Georgia Course in Athens.

Isagawa had a 72-hole total of 6-over 294.

Oregon had a 36-over 324 as team in the final round to finish in 22nd place at 65-over 1,217.

Southern California took the individual and team titles.

Annie Park carded a 71 on Friday, and her 278 total gave her a six-shot win over Duke’s Lindy Duncan. The Trojans had a 288 round as a team to finish at 19-under 1,133 – an NCAA record, 15 strokes better than the mark set by UCLA in 2004. The Blue Devils (292) were second at 1,154.
