Record-setting field of wrestlers vies for state titles at Lahaina Civic Center

FIRST PHOTO: Ronald Criste of the Napili Surfriders (left) faces Molokai Wrestling Club’s Mason Bukoski on the way to a 10-2 win in Saturday’s Hawaii USA Wrestling Tournament at the Lahaina Civic Center. Central Maui won the team title, with 14 individual champions helping earn 110 points – 13 better than the Lahaina Roughnecks, who had 12 first-place finishers. A tournament-record 618 wrestlers competed in the event, representing 27 clubs.
