Na Koa rally past Stars, go to 12-5

Jeremy Williams hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning as Na Koa Ikaika Maui beat the Hawaii Stars 4-3 in a Pacific Association game Saturday at Maehara Stadium in Wailuku.

Na Koa (12-5) scored two runs in the first on Williams’ run-scoring groundout and Jimmy Rohan’s RBI single.

The Stars (5-12) tied it at 2-2 in the second, and took the lead in the fifth on Felix Brown’s bases-loaded walk.

Williams, who also homered Friday, has three homers and 14 RBIs on the season.

Hawaii scored all its runs off Josh Larson, who worked five innings, striking out three batters and walking two.

Hawaii has a 3-2 edge in the series, which will conclude today at 5:30 p.m. Maui swept Hawaii in a six-game series last week in Hilo.

Na Koa will host a three-game nonleague series against the Santa Rosa Rosebuds starting Tuesday.
