Gregorich drives in three in Na Koa victory
Brandon Gregorich drove in three runs and Josh Larson remained undefeated on the season as Na Koa Ikaika Maui beat the Hawaii Stars 9-5 in a Pacific Association game Friday at Maehara Stadium.
Larson (5-0) allowed five runs in 6 2/3 innings. Zach Foster recorded the final out of the seventh, and T.J. Macy and Bryon Minnich each threw an inning.
Maui’s Waylen Sing Chow batted 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Chema Sanchez and Kalaika Kahoohalahala also scored twice.
The Stars’ Dallas Mahan (3-2) allowed six runs – two earned – over six innings. Hawaii committed five errors, which led to seven Na Koa runs being unearned.
Hawaii’s Matt Hibbert went 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs.
