Na Koa defeat Pacifics to avoid three-game skid

Angus Roger hit a three-run homer and Ray Serrano had four RBIs as Na Koa Ikaika Maui beat the San Rafael Pacifics 11-3 in a Pacific Association game Thursday in San Rafael, Calif.

Serrano drove in the game’s first two runs with a double during Na Koa’s four-run first inning, added an RBI single in the second and had a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Roger, who entered the game as a pinch hitter in the seventh, hit his second homer of the season in the ninth.

Maui avoided its first three-game losing streak of the year.

Chad Blackwell (3-4) permitted two runs in seven innings to earn the win.

San Rafael starter Christian Scholl (3-1) allowed six runs while getting just six outs.
