Na Koa lose to Pacifics in series final, drop to 31-17

Na Koa Ikaika Maui lost 6-2 to San Rafael on Sunday at Maehara Stadium to fall 3 1/2 games behind the first-place Pacifics in the Pacific Association standings.

Na Koa (31-17) dropped four of six games to the Pacifics (33-12) in the series.

Maikel Jova had a three-run double in the fifth inning and Price Kendall homered for San Rafael.

The Pacifics’ Tyler Pearson (8-1) allowed seven hits and two runs in six innings. Dan Rogers pitched two hitless innings and J.J. Whetsel worked the ninth.

Na Koa’s Chris Waters (1-3) gave up five runs in seven innings.
