Na Alii lose in Big Island scrimmage
The King Kekaulike High School football team lost 37-14 to Kamehameha Hawaii in a scrimmage
Saturday afternoon on the Big Island.
Ryley Widell scored both of Na Alii’s touchdowns on short runs.
“On offense, Ryley did pretty well at quarterback,” said King Kekaulike coach Kyle Sanches. “Joshua Ogata, Austin Ferreira and Jay Braun all did well, too.”
Sanches said Na Alii’s defense was led by Kianu Pelekai.
“He was tough at middle linebacker for us,” Sanches said. “He made a ton of tackles.”
