Stars defeat Na Koa with rally in late innings

The Hawaii Stars scored seven runs in the final two innings – the fifth and the sixth – and defeated Na Koa Ikaika Maui 9-7 on Friday in a Pacific Association game at Wong Stadium in Hilo.

The Stars won the game with four runs in the bottom of the sixth. Reggie Taylor’s single drove in the final two.

Aaron Correa (1-0) earned the win with three scoreless innings of relief.

Zach Foster (1-2) entered in the sixth and permitted four runs while getting two outs. Foster allowed just two hits, but hit two batters with pitches, walked one and was hurt by a passed ball.
