Bears maintain unbeaten mark in MIL girls bowling
The Baldwin High School girls bowling team beat King Kekaulike 3-0 on Wednesday at Maui Bowling Center in Wailuku to remain perfect in Maui Interscholastic League play this season, and the Bears also won the boys match 3-0.
In the girls match, Janiesse Palafox had games of 155 and 152 for the Bears (18-0), Kristen Espania-Kaeo had a 138 and Yu Sasaki and Katie Yoshioka each had 130 games. Na Alii (2-13) got games of 123 and 115 from Janell Magarifuji, Devynn Kochi had a 121 and Aislinn Smith had a 108.
Jaylen Kama-Cabanting had games of 170 and 156 for the Baldwin boys, who improved to 11-7. Rory Sarceda had a 159, Ronson Ishikawa a 153 and Stuart Silva a 146. Shane Quillayen had a 167 and 137 for King Kekaulike (3-15), while Jarid Rother added 155 and 122 games.
