Maui High sweeps King Kekaulike
Codey Kuhaulua bowled a 164 game on Saturday as the Maui High School boys bowling team extended its lead in the Maui Interscholastic League standings with a 3-0 victory over King Kekaulike at Maui Bowling Center in Wailuku.
The Sabers also beat Na Alii 3-0 in girls competition.
In the boys match, Lihau Fujihara had games of 162 and 159 for Maui High (20-1). Shane Quillayen rolled a 145 and a 129 for King Kekaulike (3-18), Dylan Franco had a 118 and Garrett Harrel a 114.
In the girls match, Cielo Capilitan and Jessica Saki each had games of 139 for the Sabers (17-4-1), and Capilitan also had a 122. Maika Hanta recorded a 132, Precious Texeira a 123 and Stephanie Imada a 121. Dtanbi Ikeda’s 130 was the high score for Na Alii (2-16), and she also had a 101 game. Devynn Kochi had a 116, and Aislinn Smith a 106.
The Baldwin boys and girls teams each won 3-0 over Lahainaluna. Individual players’ scores were not available.
