Molokai volleyball improves to 5-0

Taylor Keliihoomalu had 10 kills as the Molokai High School girls volleyball team remained perfect in the Maui Interscholastic League through five matches by defeating Maui Prep 25-12, 25-10, 25-18 on Friday at the Lahaina Civic Center.

Keliihoomalu also had three aces and nine digs for the Farmers, who have won all their matches by sweep. Rebecka Adolpho had five kills.

Heather Place had eight assists and Shaniah Mollena-Lopez added five.

Na Pueo (0-4) got four kills and seven digs from Gina Marzo. Samantha Shoemaker had six digs and Iku Koike had five.

At Hana, Shalen-Brae Hoopai had 11 kills and two blocks for the Dragons in a 25-17, 25-18, 15-25, 25-13 victory.

Brandy Lecker-Tolentino added five kills for Hana (4-0), Rachel Scott had four kills and three blocks, Precious Helekahi had 25 assists and Harmony Gonsalves had four digs and two kills.

Lanai fell to 0-3.
