Sabers boys, girls bowlers top Warriors
Maui High won both matches against Kamehameha Maui in a Maui Interscholastic League bowling meet Saturday at Maui Bowling Center.
In the other match, the King Kekaulike boys beat Lahaina-luna, while the Lunas girls beat Na Alii.
Brendan Baker rolled a 172, Kristopher Medeiros had a 160 and Trent Hori scored a 152 as the Sabers boys won 2-1. Toby Plunkett rolled a 180, Lukela Kanae had a 174 and Russell Nagamine scored a 171 for the Warriors.
In the girls match, Jessica Saki rolled a 152 and Precious Texeira had a 148 in a 2-1 victory for the Sabers. Destinee Murray bowled a 139 and Chrystal Cardoza had a 130 for the Warriors (9-6).
The King Kekaulike boys beat Lahainaluna 3-0. Shane Shane Quillayen rolled a 173 for Na Alii and Garrett Harrell had a 131. Tyler Ihu had a 136 for the Lunas.
For the girls, Lahainaluna beat King Kekaulike 2-1.
Kailiann Tuipulotu had a 114 for the Lunas. Devynn Kochi rolled a 116 for Na Alii.
