Baldwin earns spot in tournament semifinals

Baldwin High School advanced to the semifinal round of the Maui Interscholastic League Division I girls volleyball tournament with a 25-22, 25-14, 10-25, 25-20 victory over Lahainaluna at the Lunas’ gym on Monday.

The Bears (4-9) will play today against regular-season champion Kamehameha Maui. The Warriors are bidding for a 10th consecutive overall league title.

Faavae Galioa had 11 kills, three blocks and two aces for Lahainaluna (0-13). Lithe Pokipala-Waiohu had 32 assists, three kills and two aces and Hanna Sophia Pasco-Dusenberry added 40 digs.
