King Kekaulike enters fourth place

The King Kekaulike High School girls bowling team entered fourth place in the Maui Interscholastic League standings Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Lahainaluna at Maui Bowling Center in Wailuku.

Na Alii defeated the Lunas by forfeit in the boys match.

The Maui High boys, already assured of the MIL championship, won 3-0 over Kamehameha Maui. The Warriors won 2-1 over the Sabers in the girls competition.

Janell Magarifuji had a 153 game for the King Kekaulike girls team, now 8-19. Lahainaluna (2-25) got a 114 from Alisha Coston-Chung.

Shane Quillayen had a 165 in the boys match for Na Alii (7-20). Tyler Ihu’s 140 was the high game for the Lunas (0-27).

The Maui High boys got games of 191, 168 and 152 from Trent Hori, and are now 26-1. Justin Fernandez had a 151 for Kamehameha (15-12).

In the girls match, Anela Brittain had a 160 and a 135 for the Warriors (17-10) . Maika Hanta had the top score for the Sabers (20-6-1), a 149.
